About Vera

Dr. Vera Oussetskaia-Watanabe is a Russian born pianist and pedagogue.  

A devoted educator, Vera's piano students have been accepted to most major music conservatories in the United States including the Juilliard School, New England Conservatory, Cleveland Institute of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and the Peabody Conservatory.   Additionally other students have pursued academic careers at major universities such as Stanford.

Deeply committed to strengthening music education for all children in the United States, she is the co-founder and piano area chair of the nationally recognized Gifted Music School in Salt Lake City, Utah.  

Dr. Watanabe is a graduate of the Gifted Music School and the Mussorgsky Conservatory in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
